What should I watch for on a high-mileage Scion?

With every Scion now well into its second decade, the smart move is staying ahead of age-related wear rather than waiting for it. Focus on the things time and mileage catch up with, like hoses, seals, bushings, and fluids that quietly degrade, since catching them early is what keeps an older Scion dependable and cheap to run. These cars have good bones, so they reward a little attention. Bring yours to Mechanic On Duty CB LLC, open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and we'll give it a thorough once-over.

Why is my Scion's clutch acting up?

It depends on which transmission you have, but a slipping or shuddering clutch is worth checking sooner rather than later. On manual Scions the clutch is a normal wear item that eventually needs replacing, and on models with the automated clutch, rough or hesitant engagement can point to a worn clutch or actuator. Left alone, a tired clutch only gets more expensive to fix. Call Mechanic On Duty CB LLC at (407) 666-7006 and we'll pinpoint whether it is the clutch itself or something related.

With Scion discontinued, where in Winter Park can I still get mine serviced?

Right here, and it is easier than you might think. Even though Scion is no longer around, the cars were built on Toyota engineering, so the parts and know-how to service them are widely available, no dealer required. You do not have to hunt for a specialist or drive out of your way. Stop by Mechanic On Duty CB LLC on 3413 Forsyth Rd and we'll keep your Scion running like the brand never left.
